Paddywax Candles

My boyfriend’s birthday is at the end of the month, and when I ordered part of his gift on Amazon I also splurged for myself and ordered a couple of PaddyWax candles.

PaddyWax Candles

During those first spring months, one of my favorite things to do is turn up my MP3 player, open up the windows, and let some fresh air in while I clean that winter mustiness out of the house.  Once I’m done I light a few scented candles before closing up the windows; it always makes the place feel new and fresh.  Since it’s already March and these were on sale, I thought it best to pick them up with my order.  But why PaddyWax?

Paddywax Candles
We took the famed phrase “We must be the change we want to see in the world” to heart.  From soy-based inks, to recycled paper, to a 100% recycled paper pulp box, this collection is committed to conserving our planet’s resources.  Enjoy 45 hours of guiltless burn time.

You read that right.  PaddyWax makes their candles out of all natural oils and soy wax, and the pretty containers they’re sold and shipped in are printed with soy ink and made of recycled material.  Not only that, but if you do enough hunting, you’ll find some great sales – like I said, I found mine at Amazon – and if you don’t feel like hunting at all, you can just check the PaddyWax store’s sale section.

Hippos Love Paddywax

Best of all, they smell better than any candle I’ve ever owned.  My hippo, Cletus, loves ‘em.  This time I bought Mandarin & Lavendar (on the left) and Olive Tree, but I’ve also had the chance to smell Mint Mojito and classic Lavendar, both of which were Christmas gifts that which were so fragrant that they scented my room even after they were wrapped and gift-tagged.

What is your favorite spring tradition?

I love when I finally can open the patio doors in my place, it opens up my entire apartment. This year I even started a garden for around my patio (planting the seeds now in indoor greenhouse boxes) and got two bird feeders. I am excited to spend time outdoors!

These candles are amazing, I am going to order some for my mom for mother’s day!

Michelle’s last blog post..If you want powder, head North
