Once a week I ask the same bleary-eyed question: “What about Wednesday?”It’s my day to post whatever the hell I feel like, with no regard to fashion, eco-consciousness or, occasionally, even coherent thoughts.
It’s one of those busy weeks that makes me want to break convention and do nothing by the book. Today’s post embraces that rebellion: instead of trying to keep cost down and get you ethical, sustainable and independent designs on the cheap, I’m going to show you the stuff on my Etsy wishlist that I don’t have the funds to buy right now. Looking is free, right? (If you are looking to buy, though, clicking a photo will take you to the item in question.)

Blossom by Katerina Damilos: $150
Though I can’t justify $150 on a necklace, I also can’t help but imagine this sterling and gold piece paired with a simple shift dress and worn to some event where everyone else is trying too hard.

Bark Beetle by papariaarre: $43
I don’t even want to write in this delicate-looking linen (linen!) journal. I just want to keep it in my purse, then set it on the table at my favorite coffee house for effect.

Finesse by MK Wind: $85
I love the depth and texture of this necklace. MK Wind always manages to combine modern metals with delicate, artful designs.

Amelie Buttercream Leather Wristlet with Vintage Button and Key by Urban Heirlooms: $150
According to Urban Heirlooms, it’s “the type of purse that swings from your arm as you wander between walls of musty books in your favorite library.” I couldn’t agree more.
This doesn’t even begin to cover the non-Etsy independent and ethical designers I can’t afford right now. Clothes, shoes, bedroom sets…ah, well. Economy, get back in gear, will ya?

I love Mk Wind, they’ve been on my list of things I shouldn’t buy for a long time!

Ohhh, that purse is CUTE! There’s another seller on Etsy that does some really amazing (and unfortunately, out of my price range at the moment – hence the fact that I’ll be making my own purse soon) purses:

And the Genteel Black Messenger bag at Urban Heirlooms is GORGEOUS.

It was smart of me to not even mention that I made a new post, wasn’t it? #sarcasm http://twurl.nl/ivenqa What About Wednesday?
I’m loving all this stuff. Too bad I can’t afford it either.
