Slowly but surely, the house my boyfriend and I moved into (back in October) is turning into a home.
The bathroom has been a special problem, because it’s…pink. Mauve, even. While the rest of the house is a blank slate, with white walls, wood floors, and neutral counter tops, I have fewer options with the bathroom. Too many other colors could look contrived; too much femininity would make me feel like an eighty year old with doilies in my brain.
I decided to keep it simple: black and pink, with hints of early twentieth century style…but modernized and clean. As I accumulate one pretty thing after another, it’s coming along.

Next up: black towels – maybe with a fleur-de-lis pattern.
I’m also thinking of painting those cabinets and drawers black. Too much?

Love the black touches- makes it modern and sleek.
Maybe change the towel bar to something more “you”, and maybe find an antique faucet?
Love that counter top. Oh and new handles for the drawers, to kind of match the towel holder. Oh maybe a different door nob?
I need to do my bathroom too! You are inspiring me!
